A Thrifty Stitcher

A Thrifty Stitcher

28th February

I really am trying to cut down on my waste when I stitch and now try to use up my scraps left over from kits, usually for the charity squares I stitch.
But  when I finished the big sampler I was stitching I had so many threads left over, plus a fair sized piece of Aida, that I decided to use them up on this little  ‘April showers bring May flowers’ sampler from The Prairie Schooler.

I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do with it yet.  I could keep it for myself or even save it as a Christmas pressie for someone but first off I have to decide how to finish it, a frame may be or make it into a little pillow, we shall have to see.

Next up will be Celtic Autumn I think or may be a Baby Sampler when it arrives from Sew and So but for now I’ll carry on with knitting the baby jacket I started last night.

Happy Stitching!

  1. Lovely stitching! I've got to finish the piece I stitched that went along with this so I look forward to seeing what you come up with for yours. BTW, I am a silent member of the stitching bloggers yahoo group and I saw your post. :)

  4. I always forget how much I really like PS designs...and then I see a finish like yours and remember all over again. This is so pretty...I love the colors! I' not very good coming up with finishing ideas, but I'm sure you'll decide on one thing super!

    1. I don't know if it't out of print Janice. Have you looked on ebay, I think that was where I got mine.
