I first started stitching 'The Songbird’s Garden' series from Cottage Garden Samplings, way back in 2018, when I was kindly given a gift voucher for The Patchwork Rabbit, a needlework shop I had never heard of at the time.
Now that alone was the start
of a slippery slope as you can imagine, Lol, but a story for another time.
On that occasion I used the voucher to purchase the 12 charts from the series and started stitching the first one at the end of the year.
Since then I’ve averaged one a year.
As you can see, it’s not difficult falling in love with Vinniey’s designs, especially this series, because of her beautiful birds, flowers and tiny houses.
My latest finish is ‘Sing For Joy’.
I started it on New Year’s Eve 2023 as part of my 12 new starts in 12 hours and features a pretty House Finch and Cone Flowers.Sue

Congratulations on stitching AND framing so many of these beauties, Sue! I just love them. I've stitched (but not framed) four--really need to get back to this series. Hope you have a wonderful day! ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. There's just five left in the series but I'm only going to do four of them because I don't like 'Hope'. The design doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Happy Stitching! Sue x
DeleteBeautiful addition to this series. I'm not usually a "bird" fan, but I have to admit, these are amazing!!! Happy Easter, Sue!
