I had a fun day of finishing yesterday and managed to get
5 FFO’s under my belt.
First up was my Prairie Schooler Santa 2004, that I stitched for the 12 in 23 Ornament Challenge.
(I know you may have seen this in my last post, but just in case you missed it, here is is again.
Then I ffo’d my June Cross Stitch Camp piece.
I made ‘Strawberry Faire’ by October House into a little pillow, adding some crocheted trim that I made with a skein of DMC floss.
The next thing I picked up out of the box ‘Stitching Makes Me Happy.
The chart was part of 'The 12 Days of Christmas' put together by Sheri, The Colorado Cross Stitcher back in 2021. I eventually stitched it for Winter Camp in February 2022.
Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to FFO it!.
I thought I would try something a little different with – Chubby Bunny from Jeanette Douglas.
I purchased a blank wooden piece from Hobby Craft, painted it with Acrylic paint and added some charms and beads.
I’m not sure I’m happy with it though, so it could well morph into something else in the near future!
Lastly I pinned and framed the secret stitch, which I will share later in a separate post.

Those are four great little finishes, Sue!!! I especially love your crocheted trim on the strawberry piece.
ReplyDeleteSue, all your finishes are fantastic! I especially like how you finished the rabbit in the wooden circle. I found you on Pinterest and I’m pinning this one too. ☺️
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, that's very kind, thanks for stopping by. I too used to make greetings cards and wedding stationery, with a little bit of scrapbooking thrown in, but stopped doing that around 20 odd years ago. There's a link to my old blog for that (Sue's Krafty Kards) on the right. I've been stitching since I was 6 and used cross stitch in some of my cards back then, but now concentrate on my stitching, knitting and crochet. Thanks again for stopping, and...Happy Crafting!
