Where is the year going I ask myself?
It seems that we hit
September and everything changes. It’s
overcast and breezy and we have rain forecast, which we can’t complain about
because it’s so desperately needed here in the South East. It’s getting dark earlier in the evenings too
but on the up side it’s only about 12 weeks until I can put up my Christmas
decorations, Lol!
Talking of Christmas, I stitched a bit more on ‘Oh Holy Night – Nativity from Stoney Creek this week and now you can see the little lamb emerging from the hay.
I haven’t stitched on anything else this week but I’m ready to start on my next Little Sheep Virtue, from Little House Needleworks, which will be Kindness, and then the next basket for Jeanette Douglass’s Mini Bouquet Sal, neither of which are big stitches, so they shouldn't take me long to do.
It’s also the start of Sampler September and Sheri, the Colorado Cross Stitcher, of Cross Stitch Camp fame is starting the first Sampler Camp, which should be fun. I think the virtual camp is running from September to December, but I could be wrong about that, I’ll have to check.Anyway, I hadn’t originally planned to join in because
I didn’t think I had any samplers in my stash, or so I thought. But then I remembered that I had ‘The
Stitcher’ from Homespun Elegance all kitted up and ready to go.
I think it should pass as a sampler; after all, it has an alphabet on it, right!
Oh well, time for some lunch I think and then a coffee and some stitching. The ironing can wait until tomorrow!
.Happy Stitching!
Sue
