Butterfly Lace Mandala

 I had a good stitch this weekend and finished the 1 over one butterfly that I had planned to do, 

and I went on to do some more of the lace on the left-hand corner.

 
Now I have a question for you all.

How do you get the colours looking so good in your photos? 

Mine never look true and always look washed out, so I’m thinking I may need to invest in something that will help.  I was thinking may be one of those light box things, but I'm not sure how that would work with larger pieces of stitching.

I would love to know what you do?
