Wips for July

Although I’ve been fairly quiet on here so far this month, I’ve been busy in the background with my crochet hook and sewing needle.

First up I have been working on my ‘ Oliver’ summer top from Rowen.

I’m just about ready to sew it all together and then the only thing left to do is work the edging and it’s all done.

Then, following on with the ‘Christmas in July’ I decided to pull out a wip that I started back in April.

If you remember, I started ‘A Kiss for Snowman’ from Dimensions, while I was having my hip surgery, but I couldn’t concentrate on all the number of thread and stitch changes, so gave up on it.

This is where I left it, knowing that I would have to do some frogging when I eventually picked it up again.

I managed to get it back to a place where I think it is right.

‘Bottom left up’ has always been my preferred way to start, so I worked my way to the bottom as best I could  and then started working my way back up again and it seems to be going much better this time.

Still on the Christmas in July theme, I started a new Santa from Prairie Schooler Santas Revisited VI.

This one is from 1995.

Happy Stitching!
