I think not, Lol!
But yesterday, I did spend the afternoon trying to design the front and back covers of the Heritage Book I’m going to make with the nine panels of the ‘Loose Feathers’ series from Blackbird Designs into.
You may remember, I started stitching them towards the end of 2021 and I finished the last of the nine in November last year.
I already knew it was going to have the title of ‘Family Footprints in the Sands of Time’, the same name as my heritage blog. (Link over on the right)
I lifted the borders on the front cover from some of the series charts and the font was picked from another Blackbird Book. The two little birds
on the front and the Vase on the Back cover (which is still a work in progress)
are from Brenda Keys Ultimate Sampler Motifs Source Book.
All I have to do now is stitch them!
Happy Stitching!
Sue

I think you did an amazing job on designing the covers, Sue! What a unique finish this will be--I love all 9 of the BBD blocks you've stitched and look forward to seeing the finished book.
ReplyDeleteThat's very kind Carol, thank you. I still have to come up with something for one more page, as I needed 10 designs really. I had and older sister, born in 1950, who lived for just 8 hours and I feel I can't leave her out of this book. I was thinking along the lines of a tiny bird in a nest if I can fins a suitable chart. Thanks for stopping by. Sue

This is very interesting Sue....can't wait to see the outcome!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stasi. I can't wait to see the outcome either, lol. Wall space it limited and I was trying to come up with another way to display them all, so fingers crossed that this works because I've not seen them done like this before. Sue. x
