I’ve never been great at having plans for stitching, preferring to stitch what I want, when I want, although I did have a few bigger projects, with parts stitched on a monthly basis last year.
This year I’ve reverted back to type and didn’t plan anything, other than to work on my two wips and one new start when the fabric eventually arrives.
I do miss having that monthly challenge though, so when I saw on Instagram that @caroling55 was doing the 12 in 23 ornament stitch a long, I decided to jump in.
It’s a great way to build up my poor little collection of Christmas Ornaments, while at the same time being a bit of a stash buster.
This is number 1 of 12, ‘Frosty’ by Autumn Lane Stitchery, and my first finish of 2023.
I found this chart in a 2020 copy of Just Cross
Stitch but it’s still available on the Autumn Lane web site.
