I have one finish and little bit of progress on an old Wip that I’ve not picked up since January, this week.
Now I have somewhere nice to display my stitching, I want to get a few more seasonal smalls done and I have the perfect book to get me started.
I think – no, I know I want to stitch everything that's in the Winds of Autumn book
but I settled on 'Waiting for the Harvest and got it finished.
For once I actually had a skein of the called for Gentle Art, Dark Chocolate in my stash, but it was calling for two skeins. They had stitched it 2 over 2 on 32ct and I was stitching mine 1 over 2 on 36ct, and was hoping one would be enough, but ended up playing thread chicken.
I had just three
lengths of thread left and both of the initials still to stitch, so what I ended
up doing was to use dmc 3371 for the bottom leg of the stitch and the overdyed
to stitch the top leg.
The wip that I pulled out and worked on for a couple of nights was ‘Oh Hold night Nativity, from Stoney Creek.
I started this last year on Christmas Eve and work on it through to the end of January, finishing two of the six pages, but didn’t pick it up again, after that.
It’s pretty intense stitching with lots of colour changes, 40 threads, metallic and beads.
It doesn’t look like I’ve done very much but I worked on the hay.
Happy Stitching!
Sue

Your Waiting for Harvest looks great...good idea about using the DMC 3371!
