My first Easter Pillow.

Afternoon all, I hope you are all having a wonderful week.

I’ve been busy stitching as usual and have three projects to share with you this week, two finishes and one full finish.

First up is my fully completed Easter cushion and would you believe it’s the only one I have ever made!

The chart for ‘Vintage Easter Bunny’ was in the April 2021 issue of Just Cross Stitch (the current issue).

I found some old gold vintage lace that I thought would go with the stitching and used old gold stripe cotton fabric for the backing and stuffed the pillow with crushed walnut shells.

The second project that I finished stitching is ‘Jingle all the Way’.

I won’t be finishing this off just at the moment because I have another similar one to stitch and I want to do them both as a hoop finishes.

The chart was in an old October 2019 copy of Cross Stitcher

And finally, I made a start on the 2016 The Joyful World Sal from The Snowflower Dairies, which consists of 12 panels, one for each month.

I started and finished my first panel (March) and plan to do them in groups of three and frame them for a season, so March, April and May will be stitched on the same 32ct Zweigart Belfast in Honeydew Green.

I’m not going to fully finish this until the next two are stitched and then mount them vertically in a frame and make them interchangeable each season.

So that’s it for now.  This week my plan is to get a start on the April panel for the Sal , work a bit  on The Songbird’s Garden ‘Gratitude’ and I’m going to attempt some charting for the Unfinished Sampler,’ Maude’, hosted by Momma loves you gb Michelle, on flosstube and Instagram, so wish me luck.

Until next time, have a Happy time Crafting!

(Whatever you passion may be)

Sue
