Back at the end of last month, I mentioned how my discovery of Floss Tube was so inspirational, but the down side was it was also a drain in my bank balance, Lol!
One of the first things I noticed was that most of the stitchers were using
beautiful project bags and after purchasing this one from Ness Loves Needles on Etsy, I had a go making some for myself.
My first one wasn’t that great but it was still usable and as I got bit more comfortable using my sewing machine, (it doesn’t see the light of day very often) I turned out three more.
Also thanks to Floss Tube
I've discovered designers on Etsy selling downloadable pdf cross stitch charts.
You’ll find lots of
beautiful charts from both of these sellers, so please check them out.
So, what else have I been
doing this week.
I worked on and finished ‘Vintage Easter Bunny’, a chart from the most recent issue of Just Cross Stitch (April 2021) that was designed by Elizabeth Spurlock of Saving Graces Fine Needlework.
And here he is.
I can’t believe that in all
my years of stitching, I’ve never done anything for Easter before. My plan is to finish him as a little pillow
and them make a few more smalls to go in a bowl.
And now I’m going to mention the ‘C’ word……..yes, I also started some Christmas stitching!
I came across two charts in old copies of Cross Stitcher (Oct 2019 & Dec 2018) that I wanted to stitch for two very special little people and decided to make an early start on them.
Here’s where I’m at.
(Whatever
you passion may be)
