Don’t you just love it when you hit upon a cross stitch series that you love stitching!
Well that’s exactly
how I feel about this series from October House Fiber Arts.
I've just finished Honey Faire
It’s stitched on a piece of 32ct Pale Cream Belfast Linen, from my stash and I’ve used all the called for threads, which were a combination of Weeks Dye Works and Classic Colorworks.
I decided that my bees' wings needed a little sparkle, so I added in a thread of Glissen Gloss Rainbow, (303) which did the trick.
I finished it as a little pillow to match the first one, using some Moda ‘Renew – Sweetwater’ from a layer cake and made a crocheted trim for around the edge.
Back in June, I stitched the first in the series, Strawberry Faire
and Pumpkin Fair is due to be released in September and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
I wonder what others there might be in the series, perhaps Apple, Pear, Cherry or maybe Acorn, we'll have to wait and see, but I hope there will be lots more!
Happy Stitching!

What a beautiful finish you have in Honey Faire, Sue! I love your crocheted edging. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Robin. That seems to be my go to edging at the moment and it works well because you can use the same colour thread as in the piece. Happy Stitching! Sue x
DeleteLove your finish of Honey Faire, Sue! I agree, this is a cute series...I may have to track them down. Oh no....another rabbit hole!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, those rabbit holes and getting more and more difficult to avoid, Lol! I've fallen down a few recently too. Happy Stitching! Sue x
