Long Awaited Hip Replacement

Have you missed me?

I went into hospital on the 17th April to have my long awaited right hip replacement and after an eight day stay, I’m finally home.

Apparently it all went well and I’m doing ok, although I’m I a little bit of pain, but it’s still early days.

I did take some stitching into the hospital with me, but with hindsight I should have chosen something a little less complicated because I couldn’t concentrate on it.

I don’t know if you have ever stitched  a  Dimensions, Gold Collection Petites kit but if you have, you will know they are stitched in cross and half cross stitch with single and blended threads as well as various numbers of threads throughout, so it was no wonder I was getting confused.

All the progress on ‘A Kiss for Snowman’ was done prior to going in, and I’m ashamed to say that it actually has fewer stitches in it now, than it did before, thanks to the frogs.

By the time I got home on Monday, my stitchy mojo had deserted me completely.  I’ve not managed to pick it up again until today but I’m hoping that I can concentrate a bit better in the quiet of my own home.
