A Year of Bouquets – November

This month’s panel for the ‘Mini Bouquets’ Sal from  Jeanette Douglas is very aptly called Acorn November.

I don’t know about you but I feeling rather sad that December 1st will be the final stitch for the sal,  and up until now I’ve not really shared with you how I was going to FFO mine.

I know a lot of people have stitched them as one big piece and I’ve also seen a few pin pillow finishes, but I’ve done something completely different.

Sometime last year, even before the Sal started, I saw this frame in Dunelm Mill and thought it perfect for an Advent stitch I was working on,

but sadly the panels were too big for it and the frame got put away in a cupboard.

Then, in January when Jeanette announced that she was doing the Mini Bouquet panels as a Sal, I knew straight away the frame would be perfect.

I finished all of the panels as little flats and gave them some beaded trim and I little ribbon hanger and on the pack I’ve added a little iron on label with the name of the panel.

Now there is just one empty space waiting to be filled!

Jeanette, if you read this, Thank you for your generosity in offering your beautiful work for free and please do another stitch-a-long next year, this one has been so much fun.
