Back in May 2021, I decided I would take part in my first ‘Stitch Maynia’. There were stitchers' starting 22 new starts, (one for each year), and others starting a new project every day in May but that was way too much for me to even contemplate, so I decided on starting a new project every 7 days.
Of the five projects started, I finished four of them long ago but ‘Dreaming of Daisies’ by Karen Kluba of Rosewood Manor was the largest and most intensive of them all and this one carried over as a WIP into this year.
When May came around this year, I decided to skip Maynia and instead planned to try and finish the daisies, which alas didn’t happen.
But now I have good News……..I’m no longer Dreaming of Daisies because I have a finish!
The model was stitched on Weeks Dye Works 32ct Parchment, but I changed mine for 36ct Edinburgh Linen in Aqua and I still used all the called for Weeks Dye Works overdyed threads.
I’ve loved every stitch of this and I think I may stitch another from the series. I know there are Tulips, Daffodils, Roses and I think there may be a few more, so I’ll have to investigate!
Happy Stitching!

What a sweet piece...made me think of the old movie Please Don't Eat the Daisies with Doris Day. Opps...I'm dating myself!
ReplyDeleteYou're just joining the club Stasi, not dating yourself. My favourite Doris Day film is 'Teachers Pet'. My older brother was a big fan, so I grow up watching all her films. x
