Well, it’s been a while but this past weekend I thought I would join in with the ‘Chatelaine Weekender’
My ‘Butterfly Lace Mandala’ was a birthday start at the start of September but it hasn’t seen the light of day since October last year, so it’s definitely time to put some stitching in her.
My goal was to finish the last hibiscus, which needed some back stitching and to stitch the foliage around it.
Next, I completed the flowers on the inside of the frame, which are done with backstitch and Jessica stitches and then started the ones on the outside of the frame.
I managed to stitch all
the way along the top, whilst wrangling with the EdMar Rayon thread (can I just say at this point, it won’t be in my top
10 favourite threads to stitch with any time soon) and I was about to start
down the side when this little fellow visited.
I realised that should
have missed a row before starting and had to unpick everything I had done along
the top and had to start again.
Oh well, over all it
was a productive weekend. I hit my goal and she a little bit closer to
being finished, right?
Happy Stitching!
Sue
