After the success of the first ever virtual Cross Stitch Camp that run for three months during the Summer last year, I was happy to hear that Sheri, the Colorado Cross Stitcher decided to run a shorter Winter Camp.
As before we had to start and post the details of our project on 1st February and have it finished by the end of the month, with the added challenge of stitching in just one colour or one variegated skein colour.
I saw this as a great opportunity to stitch one of the two charts that I received in the ’12 days of Christmas’, also from ‘Colorado Cross Stitch, before Christmas last year, but in fact, I ended up stitching both.
The first was ‘Winter, A Quiet Serenity.
I stitched it on 16ct Black Aida, using the White NPI Silk that came with the chart, and for once, I knew immediately how I wanted to finish it.
As it was a fairly
quick stitch I decided to do the other chart I received, ‘Stitching makes me
Happy’
This was stitched on 32ct Belfast Linen with DMC 123,
which again came with the chart.
